Our Main Lodge is the center of camp. Within it you’ll find our Lobby, Dining Hall, Chapel, Gym, Pool & Hot Tub, Coffee Bar, Games Area, Vending Machines, Motel Accommodations, and a few Meeting Rooms (Poplar Room & Cedar Room).

A cozy place to sit and hang out. We have several couches, a fireplace, and work stations to plug in your laptop and work away. The lobby also houses our Front Desk and our Coffee Bar/Tuck Shop.

This is where all guests and campers eat! Everything here is served “cafeteria style”, and our kitchen is great at accommodating allergies and other dietary needs. There is a coffee and tea station, as well as a guest snack area which has a guest fridge, microwave, and vending machines which are stocked with chips, chocolate, candy, and pop.

Our chapel has a beautiful view of the lake and tons of natural light. This room is equipped with a projector with HDMI hookup, and an analogue sound board and speakers which makes it great for accommodating bands, movies, presentations, and other media.

In the summer, this room is where we hold our chapel services with a worship band and a speaker.

For group rentals, this space is great for choirs, band rehearsals, and as a meeting space.

This cozy meeting room is located upstairs in the Main Lodge. It is equipped with a tv which can be hooked up to a computer using HDMI, a DVD player, a fridge, microwave, sink & countertop, and plenty of couches to seat a small sized group. With plenty of windows which offer a beautiful view of the lake, this is a popular breakout room for group devotionals, movie nights, and band clinics.

Our Poplar Room is located in the Main Lodge basement. It is equipped with an analogue sound board with instrument and microphone hook-up abilities, a projector that can be connected to a laptop via HDMI, a DVD player, and bleacher seating. This room is large enough to seat a medium to large sized group (max 150 people), and has plenty of floorspace. The bleachers can be pushed back to create more floorspace for ensemble rehearsals or group meetings. This space is often used for band clinics, rehearsals, movie nights, chapel services, group presentations, or as a general meeting room.

In the summer, this room is used for indoor games and entertainment like variety shows.

This space can be found downstairs in the Main Lodge. Here you’ll find a ping pong table, foosball, air hockey, and booth-style seating to just hang out.

Our gym is in the basement of our Main Lodge and is a great indoor active space! Inside is an equipment closet which has various sport balls (basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, and volleyballs) as well as volleyball nets, floor hockey nets and sticks, and other miscellaneous gym equipment.

During the summer, the gym is used for group games and sports tournaments, as well as large group chapel services during Family Camps and other retreats.

Our indoor pool is in the basement of our Main Lodge. The pool has a shallow and a deep end, but is a relatively shallow pool maxing at 1.4 meters deep. Our pool’s capacity is 60 people, and the hot tub can fit 9 at a time.

Lakeview Hall is one of our oldest standing buildings! Equipped with a sound system, drum kit, stage, and projector screen*, this space is great for ensemble rehearsals, band clinics, chapel services, and large group meetings.

*Groups can rent a portable projector for display needs.

Our Lower Heritage Meeting Room is located in the walk-out basement of the Heritage Lodge facing the lake. The room has couches for seating, a small kitchenette, a tv on cart with HDMI hookup capacities, and washrooms. This room is great for small group meetings and band clinics.

The Board Room is located on the third floor of the Heritage Lodge. This room is great for meetings, equipped with a long table that comfortably seats 10-15, a small kitchenette, and a projector with HDMI connection. This room has a fireplace for heat in the winter, and air conditioning to keep you comfortable in the hot months. Just down the hall are two individual bathrooms. Extra chairs are available to add, and this room is often used for band clinics.

This meeting area is located just through the front door of the North Dorm building and contains couches, tables and chairs, and a small countertop and sink. This area is great for band clinics and as a meeting space for guests staying in the North Dorms. Around the corner are public washrooms.

These rooms are located in the Main Lodge. They each include a queen size bed and two twin size bunk beds, a sink and mirror, and a bathroom with a toilet and full size shower/bathtub. There are 22 motel rooms total, with one being wheelchair and mobility friendly.

In the summer, 8 of our motel rooms are converted into 4 cabins using communication doors to combine two rooms together.

These motel-style rooms are located in the Heritage Lodge, which is the building right next to our Main Lodge. Each room has two twin bunk beds, and one additional twin bed, as well as a sink and mirror, and a bathroom with a toilet and full size shower/bathtub. There are 10 rooms total, with one being wheelchair and mobility friendly.

In the summer, 8 of our Heritage motel rooms are converted into 4 cabins using communication doors to combine two rooms together.

These cabins are located just North of the Main Lodge and contain 5 twin size bunk beds each, and are just a short walk to the North Dorm bathrooms (showers and toilets). The Sunset cabins are heated for winter use, and placed close to the lake’s edge, providing beautiful sunset views in the evening. There are 7 Sunset Cabins total. These cabins are heated for winter use.

In the summer, each Sunset is used as a cabin of 8 campers and two staff.

Each Dorm is located inside our North Dorm building which is just North East of the Main Lodge. There are 4 rooms in the building, each room containing 5 twin size bunk beds. Washrooms are just down the hall and contain flush toilets and showers. The building also has a boot room and a meeting room area with couches, tables and chairs which is often used as a hang out spot or for band clinics.

In the summer, each North Dorm is used as a cabin of 8 campers and two staff.

The A Frame Cabins are located in the woods on the North East side of camp. Each of the 8 cabins has 5 twin size bunk beds*, and they are just next to the Martin Chalet Building which contains washrooms with toilets and showers. These are great for groups who want to be slightly removed from the busyness of camp and truly be surrounded by creation. The walk up the trail from the A Frames to the Main Lodge is about 3-5 minutes. These cabins are heated for winter use.

In the summer, each A Frame is used as a cabin of 8 campers and two staff*.

*Two of the A Frames have an additional twin side bed, making them able to sleep 11 people total.

These rooms are located on the 3rd floor of our Heritage Lodge and are perfect for board members, guest speakers, or other guests looking to retreat. There are 6 rooms in total, each contains two comfortable twin beds* with memory foam toppers, sitting space which may contain chairs, desks, window nooks, or a fireplace, and a bathroom with a sink and mirror, toilet, and shower/bathtub.

*One of our Heritage 300 rooms has three twin beds, and one room has a queen size wall bed rather than two twins. This room is often used as a meeting room for band clinics.

These suites are located in the walk-out basement of the Heritage Building which faces the waterfront. Each of the four suites is unique in layout, but they all include a bathroom, living room, kitchenette, and bedroom. Each bedroom has a queen size bed as well as a bunk bed, and the living room has a futon which can be used for extra sleeping space. The kitchenette is equipped with a mini fridge, counter space and sink, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and induction stovetop.

These cozy cottages are located around our field. There are 10 cottages in total, and each has two bedrooms, a living room and kitchenette, and a full bathroom. Each cottage has a queen size bed in one room, two twins in the other*, and a futon in the living room area, making them able to comfortably sleep 5-6 people. Each Bluebird has a front and back patio and an outdoor firepit. These beautiful cottages are great for a family stay, or a spiritual retreat.

*Our newer cottages have two separate twin beds, while our older cottages have built-in twin bunk beds. Both layouts sleep the same number of guests.

Our RV sites are located on the East side of our property behind the Bluebird Cottages. Each site has 15 Watt power and well water hookups, a picnic bench, and a firepit. These are great for RV’s, camping trailers, or tents. Next to the RV sites is our cookhouse which has public washrooms and showers. There is also a dumping station on site for water dumping needs.

Our zipline is about 40 feet tall, giving you an amazing view of our property and the lake beyond. Participants are fitted with harnesses and helmets, then clipped into the ladder as they climb to the top. Once there, a staff member clips their trolly to the zipline and they’re ready to glide across the field towards the lake!

Get strapped in for the ride of your life! The King Swing lifts 3 riders at a time up almost 50 feet into the air. Participants not on the swing help pull a rope down the hill, lifting the riders to the top, or to their desired height. When ready, one rider pulls the release string and all swing down and out towards the field. It’s a thrill!

A camp classic! This is great way to work on your climbing skills. We have walls for different abilities and trained and experienced staff to guide you to the top to achieve your goal!

A Camp Nakamun institution. Barge Rides are how we give campers a chance to view the sites around Lake Nakamun.  In the summer, campers can wear their swim suits and jump off the barge to cool off. It’s a super fun time.

This summer camp activity is a fun way for campers to get out on the lake and experience a thrill! Half of the cabin sits on the pontoon boat while the other half shares the banana tube, then they switch.

Aim at improving on your archery skills at camp! It’s another great way to challenge yourself and your friends, to see who can hit that bullseye!

NEW! We noticed that our bows are a little tricky for smaller humans and decided to make something that everyone could enjoy! Our pea shooter range includes a wall full of targets of different shapes, sizes, and materials to aim for. Campers make launchers out of pvc pipe and a balloon, and use chick peas as ammunition.

Take a dip in the pool, or relax in our hot tub at the end of the day. Our pool has a shallow end and a “deep” end, though it is a shallow pool which only reaches 1.4 meters at its deepest point. We provide a lifeguard for camp program only.

We have multiple firepits on our property to accommodate multiple groups of different sizes at a time. Firepits have wooden bench seating and sheds with chopped wood nearby, and we supply matches and paper to help you get going. In the summer, campfires are a daily occurrence with silly songs, worship, and a message from our speaker for the week. It’s a great time. Be sure to bring bug spray!

New to Nakamun is the development of our disc golf course.

Currently we have 3 baskets set up as “Safari Style”. This means we only have 3 baskets, so we’ve made up a few tee boxes for each one.

Spend some time exploring our trails on some cross country skis! We have skis, poles, and boots available for use – all you need is winter gear and a good attitude!

Each year our maintenance team clears a skating rink on the lake. The rink is in the bay, and there are benches for you to sit and change into your skates right on the lake. There are also hockey nets and back boards for those who want to play some shinny, but don’t want to chase their missed shots across the lake.
